Our Infrastructure Business Area Project Office division is looking for a System Engineer - Uninterruptible Power Supply (m/f/d).

Your tasks:

  • Design and configuration of UPS systems tailored to meet the specific power needs of data centers and other mission critical infrastructure, ensuring redundancy, efficiency, and reliability
  • Collaboration with clients and internal teams to define system requirements, perform site surveys, and develop optimal UPS configurations
  • Integration of UPS systems with other power infrastructure in the facility, such as generators, Switchgears, Transformers, STS, power distribution units (PDUs), and battery backup systems, etc.
  • Technical consultation to clients and internal teams regarding UPS system design, implementation, and performance optimization pre- as well as after sales
  • Act as a subject matter expert for UPS systems, offering guidance on best practices, energy efficiency, and capacity planning
  • Development of detailed technical proposals, documentation, system designs, schematics, configuration files, manuals and maintenance plans and provide training and mentorship to junior engineers and technicians on UPS system configurations and best practices       

Your background:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering, or a related technical field and Certifications in UPS systems or power management (e.g., Certified Power Systems Professional, UPS manufacturer certifications) are a plus
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Systems Engineer or in a related technical role, preferably with UPS system design, integration, and maintenance in data center or critical infrastructure environments
  • Strong understanding of power electronics, power distribution, system configurations, and energy storage technologies
  • Proficiency in systems integration, electrical schematics, and technical documentation
  • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills as well as excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Customer-centric attitude, with the ability to foster long-term relationships with clients
  • Willingness to travel in Europe and globally
