We want to grow with you:
Our Infrastructure Business Area Project Office division in Ratingen is looking for a Working Student Software Development (Python, Java, AWS) (m/f/d) initially limited to one year and for approximately 10 hours per week.

Your tasks:

  • Designing, implementing, testing and operating PoC (proof of concept) and MVP (minimum viable product) systems for new business development projects, transforming conceptual ideas into working systems
  • Building cloud-hosted front-end mockups (UI prototypes) to visualize user flows and the end-user experience
  • Integration with external systems and performing data ingestion, transformation, and storage to set up experimental environments for PoC
  • Designing, building and operating lightweight, serverless applications using AWS managed services
  • Analyzing and visualizing customer-provided data prior to PoC execution to extract insights and formulate business hypotheses
  • Preparing structured technical documentation of development procedures, source code and validation results
  • Collaboration with internal and external team members to iterate quickly in short development cycles and bridge PoC outcomes to commercialization

Your background:

  • Enrolled student in a STEM field such as computer science, electrical engineering, or control engineering, or equivalent professional experience
  • At least 2 years of practical experience, including research and personal projects, in software development using Python or JavaScript
  • Experience with AWS development, deployment, and operations - or a strong motivation to acquire these skills
  • Practical skills in data processing, analysis, visualization, as well as first experience in deriving hypotheses and insights and implementing requirements in system solutions
  • High learning motivation, interest in and openness to new technologies and contexts as well as a proactive, self-directed way of working 
  • Business fluent English skills
